Deputies arrest, charge father of one of the women found dead in Bolivar

GALVESTON, Texas – Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the father of one of the women found dead near a convenience store in Bolivar.
Britney Cosby’s father, James Larry Cosby, is charged with 2 counts of tampering with evidence in connection with the death of his daughter and her friend Crystal Jackson, according to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives believe the Houston women, who were involved in a relationship, were killed somewhere else and dumped at the store. Deputies said Cosby died from blunt force trauma and Jackson was shot to death. They were both 24 years old.

This investigation is still ongoing which may lead to charges being upgraded to capital murder. Deputies are still searching for the victim’s vehicle

and another case where it might have been some stranger who shot both girls but one survived.
