question about electric air and heat (combined unit)

When you get someone to service it, what should you look for/ask for ? I'm only looking for regular maintenance and not a repair type situation. Thanks.

3. Just try and get a company with good reviews. Some come in to do a service job, and by the time

they leave, you are informed of all sorts of expensive problems. Make it clear you just want the servicing.

5. I just google, hope for the best, and announce quite clearly that I cannot

afford big repairs, and ask neighbors. Angie's List is likely a good source, too.

6. A good technician will know what to do

They usually change the filter, clean out the unit, clean the a/c condenser, test the system coolant pressure, sometimes check the thermostat. One of the primary causes of ac failure is lack of maintenance followed by lack of air circulation around the unit, outdoor ac units should be free of constrictions of weeds and enclosures.
