FLINT, MI -- General Motors says it has shut down the assembly line at its truck plant after an employee committed suicide there earlier today.
GM spokesman Tom Wickham said it's not known when production will resume at Flint Assembly and said grief counselors are available at the plant to talk with workers.
In a statement, GM said, "Tragically, an employee at GMs Assembly plant in Flint, Michigan took his life this afternoon. No one else in the plant was injured. Were working with local authorities as the incident is investigated. Our condolences and deepest sympathies go to the employees family and colleagues..."

(26,259 posts)I can't imagine waiting until getting to work to do something like that. Unless, of course, it was work that drove him/her to do it.
