Roth called it ironic that Huelskamp has called for the impeachment of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder “over his use of prosecutor discretion,” but Huelskamp’s raffle “puts the prosecutors in the 105 Counties in Kansas in the position of deciding if his violation of Kansas law warrants enforcement,” a Roth press release said.
“Should Tim Huelskamp donate all the proceeds from this raffle to a charity of his choice, I see no need for further inquiry into the matter,” Roth said in the release.
Huelskamp on Tuesday morning said there had been “a tremendous response to our email yesterday regarding an opportunity to see our Kansas State Wildcats, Wichita State Shockers and Kansas Jayhawks all play in St. Louis.”
But “the Left is up in arms that a Congressman from Kansas would seek to encourage Kansans to cheer on their basketball teams,” Huelskamp said Tuesday.
