Senators/Act Blue petition to stop billionaires from buying US
Act Blue and the following Senators are working to stop billionaires from buying elections. It's another online petition and appeal for money, but still nice to know these senators care.

Chris Coons (DE-Sen)
Alison Lundergan Grimes (KY-Sen)
Mark Pryor (AR-Sen)
Richard Blumenthal (CT-Sen)
Joe Donnelly (IN-Sen)
Joe Manchin (WV-Sen)
Bob Menendez (NJ-Sen)
From my inbox today from Sen. Blumenthal:
Elections should be decided by your votes -- not by billionaires wallets. But ever since the Citizens United ruling, that balance of power is shifting.
Billionaires like the Koch brothers are dumping money into elections, flooding the airwaves with ruthless attack ads, and theyre drowning out the voices of American voters.
Its time we stood up to these special interest groups.
Sign the petition and tell Congress: Dont let billionaires buy our elections.
In 2012, these shadowy groups and Super PACs spent more than $1 billion in an attempt to influence the outcome of the election, and theyre gearing up to do it again.
November might seem far away, but Super PACs have already spent over $20 million in key races across the country, and they wont stop until theyve bought control of the Senate.
We cant let it happen -- we cant let money change the face of our democracy. Elections are supposed to represent the voice of the people, not the opinions of a few billionaires.
We can win this fight, but well need to show the grassroots strength behind our message.
Add your name: Tell Congress to stop special-interest billionaires from buying our elections.
Thanks for joining me,
Richard Blumenthal
