a few weeks ago, there was an op asking if anybody had heard from, or knew anything about, bobbolink. I checked with several people who knew her, although nobody seemed to have any information. finally, yesterday, I did hear from one person, who said he had, in fact, gotten an email from her recently. No information in it about where she is staying, or how she is doing, but she is alive.

Sorry I couldn't get more than that.

Reagan was a destructive force in the US on so many levels of government..here we
are in 2014 and the impact still remains from those policies.

I think we need to highlight these types of consequences to anyone who may not
feel motivated to vote in 2014.

She once sent me an email, so I had her name, or at least the name attached to the email account she sent it from - now obviously, most of us have 'dummy' accounts with fake 'real names' attached, but fwiw, I did a search on her and it looked as if someone with that name (and there are probably dozens in the US) had passed away not long ago.

So I'm glad to hear that this was not the same person, and that she is still out there fighting the good fight. I look forward to the day when she returns to DU to update us on what's been going on with her, and her lobbying activities on behalf of the homeless and poor.

I hope somehow, somewhere she managed to luck into some services to get her off the street and back on the rails. She was a great poster until she went off 'em.

Of course, living on the street does that to most people a lot faster than it did to her. I wish her nothing but the best.
