Big Pharma/FDA vs food supplements - scam or what????????!1

Skipping most of the details, last doctor’s visit he continued his tizzy about lowering my triglicerides, which I tell him I don’t care about. He cares about those, I care about my good sugar readings so I won’t go on INSULIN.

Anyway, he took it upon himself to tinker with substituting one of the meds. Then the nurse screwed up with the pharmacy. Anyway, the thing will run out 30 days before my next appointment so I entrusted my pals with getting a generic.

So it’s LOVAZA. Whatever DRUG I thought that was. When they came back, they brought FISH OIL. I, of course, hit the ceiling, like, WHAT the (whatever) did you DO – this is FISH OIL I can get that at a grocery store for 3 dollars!!!!!!!!!

So I looked at Al GORE’s internet and sure enough there are thousands of items about this, why is one an FDA drug making millions for Big Pharma, and why is the other one a FOOD SUPPLEMENT?????

Gotta go, but will be getting to the bottom of this tomorrow.

that's why your doctor goes into a tizzy about getting your triglycerides down.

No info on the Lovaza, though. Sorry...

specific formulation. That does not mean you cannot find fish oil supplements with the same formulations, but you need to do your research.

A good place to start your research is through consumer lab.com

I strongly believe your doctor is trying to do right by you.

Few supplements outside of fish oil, vitamin D etc... are worth the time of day, despite Big Supplement pushing things upon the public. Just be careful.

If your doc thinks that all you need is a fish oil supplement, your health might not be all that bad. I'd get another opinion, if I was you, and I know I'm not!

Cheers!
