David Vitter just did us a huge favor

He's made the 2014 election a referendum on the Koch Brothers and Citizens United by saying,

"I think the Koch Brothers are two of the most patriotic Americans in the history of the Earth."

and

"Maybe this is a good example because I'll be honest with you, God Bless the Koch brothers. They're fighting for our freedoms."

Just think of what a huge insult that is to every veteran, public servant and founding father in our history. In his mind, a couple of billionaires who buy politicians through shady means are as, or more, patriotic than every person who signed the Declaration of Independence, fought for civil rights, or has a tombstone in every military cemetery in the country.

This is a moment where the GOP's true morals and values are exposed for all to see.

Thank you, Sen. Vitter.

He's in it for one person, himself. Everyone in Louisiana knows this and no one likes him, but they elect him because he votes the way they want him to.

He and Jindal hate each other. The Gubernatorial campaign between Vitter and whoever Jindal backs will be scorched earth.

Getting prostitutes while married, in office, and yelling family values and guess what? Shockingly he was easily reelected. I could not believe it. I will hope again that we can get rid of him. Please!!!! I hope we have a great candidate to run against him.

When I bring up the Kochs in arguments with teabaggers, I immediately get George Soros thrown in my face. You try to convince them that Soros isn't running think tanks and buying off legislators, but I never have much luck. I have seen this "God Bless the Koch brothers. They're fighting for our freedoms" BS repeated by a lot today in our state senate's Twitter feed (#ARsen). I think it may be another PR push. Its widespread and not just David Vitter. This is the new meme they're pushing.

The nutjobs can love on the Kochs all they want. Mainstream Americans do not take kindly to anyone trying to buy an election. And that's what the Kochs are doing.

I don't think most voters know about or care about either of these.

And of the ones that do know, they either support them (vote republican) or are against them (vote democrat). IOW preaching to the choir.
