It's the way I see regular Starbucks customers. It all just seems so absurd to me over a cup of coffee that, for 200 years, could be made/drunk at home. It's just a cultural change I can't help but find funny.

For a long time after coffee arrived in Europe from the Middle East in the middle of the last millennium, coffee houses were all the rage, especially in Vienna.

Even in the dead of winter some will fire up the car and fetch coffee rather than make it at home. Lots of wear and tear on the vehicle and gas bills too on top of the additional time and expense.
