Oklahoma family: Police shot dog for no reason, claim officer said killing was “awesome”

OK, this is starting to get mainstream coverage. Hopefully it spreads to the point where state and federal officials, as well as the business owners of Ardmore, OK can no longer ignore what an apparently corrupt department they have.

ARDMORE, Okla. – An Oklahoma family says they are devastated after they claim an officer shot and killed their dog last week for no reason.

According to a witness, the family says the officer then took delight in the killing.

Officers with the Ardmore Police Department say they received several complaints about the pit bull acting aggressively and shot the dog near a park to protect the public.

She added that the officer allegedly bragged about how “awesome” it looked when her collar flew off.

I am not going to say there was zero justification. I love pits, but they honestly can be dangerous dogs.

What is really important though is 1. The cop's attitude, 2. His history of shooting unarmed animals and people, and 3. Getting the animal control officer to falsify his report.

This needs to be hammered, and every cop in America should be on alert that they are being watched closer and closer. Please help spread the word on this case.
