The Pauls, father and son, seem to me to be fine with states doing a number of things they rail against the Feds for doing.

I know back when the college libertarian types were all thrilled that Dad was against the 'war on drugs', didn't realize that Paul the Dad was fine with state governments imposing even more draconian drug laws than the feds. That his main objection was that he felt the feds were running the war inefficiently.
