Although if we had any real news outlets in the MSM, they would be quick to point out that the GWB administration dropped the ball in Afghanistan when they turned their attention to Iraq and away from the mission in Afghanistan. (Yes I know, one can also criticize the "mission in Afghanistan", but still ... had we stayed in that country and not gone into Iraq, had we assisted them to modernize, etc., the outcome could have been very different)

There was next to no response to the Belgian newspaper that recently printed this picture of the Obamas as apes. It was posted yesterday and got four or five responses. It was on Talking Points Memo and Huffington post (two popular sources for reposts here), yet only one person posted. Perhaps the lack of commentary was due to the fact that this was supposedly a leftist paper? Is it only interesting when Donald Rumsfeld says it? Where do you think he got the idea suddenly?
