"How USPS Could Save the Economy, Change Your Life"

Last edited Thu Mar 27, 2014, 11:13 AM - Edit history (1)

Tens of millions of Americans are totally without bank access or have minimul bank service. Having banking services via the USPS could fix that problem and end dependence on "payday" loan sharks.

See the article in "The Progressive Populist" by David Dayen where he lays out ten problems that can be solved by setting up the USPS for banking including "Stabilizing the Postal Service."

"...according to the inspector general report, the Postal Service may explore it {banking} under its existing authority, rather than having to hope for an act of Congress."
