My wife's aunt died this morning.

She got ill suddenly, and was diagnosed with a MRSA infection around her spine. She was gone quickly, from that and her age in her early 80s.

Tell someone you love them, especially if they are aged. Things can happen quickly with our elder ones.

Another funeral for a member of that generation. My own parents are 89 years old, and my wife's mom is 85.

My reason for posting was just to remind people to tell their old ones that they love them. I call my parents every afternoon, at the same time each day, just to chat with them and to tell them I love them.

Our elders are too soon gone.

All of my dad's family is gone, four great men all died before reaching 75. Only two of six left on my mom's side. I really hate losing wonderful people. Cherish them while you can, folks.

You are right, our aging loved ones can go so quickly. I have a dear friend in hospice care right now, she is 87. I make sure to spend time with her every week. Once someone is gone, you never see them again. It is so final and surreal. Wishing your family healing
