My point was that Obama was given a shit-pile of problems, many of them with no easy or quick solutions.

It was inevitable that people would become disappointed, myself included.

And, given all that, he also has to represent the US to the world, which places him in a very difficult position at times, because we aren't a perfect nation (none are).

I wouldn't want to live my life knowing that so many people hate me so viscerally, without even knowing me.

around DU lately. I started to exit but decided to quickly look at a few comments first. That is when I realized what you meant to say. Now, I understand but lately there have been so many anti-Obama, pro-Putin posts that I think people's defenses are up. Mine are, i'm tired of wasting my time reading through a bunch of garbage from RT and other propaganda sources. I saw the Onion and knew this was a post for me.
