And I live here. . . I'll be volunteering for Kovach in the 7th soon in gotv efforts - I need an honest litmus test of the doors I'll be knocking on this summer and fall.

were you really going to use a poll on a well know Liberal web site run by a paper that helped break the Christie scandal as a barometer for an entire district?

You will be in for a big shock when you meet the real cross section of your constituents!

It's a fun poll in a newspaper. I don't think anyone considers it information to use in the real world.

But that's a go to source for me to understand what is going on in state. Everything else in this area is NYC focused - and NJ is just a footnote.

BTW - not my first rodeo. I've been actively engaged knocking on doors for candidates since Bill Clinton ran the first time. I also went through hell this summer and fall trying to GOTV for Buono. While the Democratic party sneered and laughed at us - we fought on.

What a difference it would have made if all of the Christie shit had come out in September/October.

I'm no babe in the woods. DU is just a fun place on the web - it's not the reality in the very very red 7th district of NJ that is one of the wealthiest counties in America. I really need to know if these people honestly are turning their backs on Christie.

in their polls. That's all I'm saying. It would be like coming here to DU to gauge Hunterdon County.

My family is involved in Democratic politics in Mercer County (very different in every way from your district). And even we wouldn't be so hopeful to use a NJ.com poll to take the pulse of a district.

it's dawning on Joiseyites that he just spent a million bucks of their money on lies to get him off the hook.

How do you get one of those jobs? I could come up with alternative ways to try to avoid incriminating things just as easily as his law firm buddies. What a lousy job they did.
