Stage IV colorectal cancer: that is not good. And only 37.

My heart is with this man and his family. It's very inspiring that he is doing this work during this stressful time.

that Michael's cancer had already progressed to stage IV before he realized it. This story so resonated with me because last Friday, a 13 year-old student I've been working with since 9/13 had most of her leg amputated. This after months of chemo, radiation, horrendous side effects and outright terror. Don't we all know at least one person who has been diagnosed with some form of cancer? It is insidious.

I think Michael is heroic in battling a life threatening disease himself, and at the same time fighting for everyone else's access to health care.
