It would be nice, of course, but in the end what's important is that people are getting health care, some for he first time.
Maybe that is not popular. I don't know.
Civil rights for blacks were not popular once either, but it' was the right thing to do.
Gay rights used to be unpopular too (and in some states this is still the case), but rights are rights.
Well I regard health care as a right, and if some people do not, or they cannot stand the idea of poor people getting health care, then that's just too bad. We had the debate, we had our day in the Supreme Court and we had an election. So these whiners just need to be rolled over as we complete the task of getting everyone covered.

(3,182 posts)That on every single thread you're on you always have to take a dig at DUers?
Even the positive threads, the ones you agree with, involve some dig at some DUer.
And, then you have the audacity to accuse others of being negative! WTF!!!

(22,479 posts)I am sick of people bashing our president especially when they can't see that it encourages lurkers here to vote republican or not vote at all.
Why insult the OP like that when they're trying to move the conversation to something POSITIVE?
It just makes EVERY SINGLE THREAD a pissing contest.

That's my response to the OP.
How is that insulting to the poster?
You seem to be seeing something that isn't there.
That is not an insult.

(3,182 posts)from that day forward, only the clueless teapublicans still considered it an issue.
I've posted many times about my thrill with being insured, with a chronic illness, for the first time in 30 years!
I just hope the clueless teapublicans try to make 2014 all about Obamacare. Their losses will be massive!

(3,182 posts)This reply to the OP refers to "He" and I saw no mention of a He in your OP.
Did I misread something? Because I completely missed a reference to any person, frankly.

(7,759 posts)Never would have thought there would be so many people wanting to see healthcare insurance for more people fail. This speaks volumes about what kind of people they are why they should never be put in a positions of power. The shameless, purposeful intent to remain ignorant about the ACA and about the lies and misinformation spread by FOX and RUSH and the rest of the anti-Obama cheerleaders is pitiful. And many of those on the sidelines cheering against the ACA are the same people who enjoy the benefits of SS and Medicare and don't even realize that the policies of the GOP hurt them the most.

(32,055 posts)to morph into single payer. There will always be the need for secondary insurance and that is where the for-profit companies can go. This is the first step in getting there as the insurance companies have finally been put on notice that they are being reined in and change is coming. Once people have a taste of actually receiving health care they are going to want to keep it. That is why republicans fought so hard against it.
Forward!
