I'll give you the juicy details when were done
Done...now that was fast . It was short and sweet. OK. We exchanged pleasantries and he asked me about the White House Correspondents dinner and if I watched it. i told him I did. So then he went on about how dumb it is to watch that and he watched the Fox news special on the Benghazi cover up. He went on about Obama should be jailed blah blah blah, and Hilary should be too . So I said yes Benghazi was a tragedy and then I said to him' well what about those other Americans that was killed under Bush's watch? He started huffing and puffing about 9/11 blah blah blah. I said , I'm not talking about 9/11 . I'm talking about those embassies that were attacked under Bush's watch and Americans were killed. Then I sent him this...

and I said look it up. Then I said i guess Bush covered those up too and how Americans lives don't important unless they are lost under Obama it seems. Then he said well yeah those lives are important too. I said so how come Fox news never ever talked about this? he said for me to hold on and I did then in a few seconds I got a dial tone. roflmao

(5,275 posts)So many killed at the WTC under Dubya's watch, here in the U.S, and you were somehow suspect and unpatriotic if you at all blamed Dubya and his staff for it. And yet...Obama is fair game for Bengazi, bad as it was it was with a fraction of the deaths and overseas.
Simply amazing.

(82,849 posts)A couple of other questions you might pose: "Now, I know that Ambassador Stevens was one of the Americans killed there. Who were the other three?" Or: "Benghazi. Now, what country is that in, again? Could you show me on this unmarked map?" Huffing and puffing will be the least of your concerns.

(889 posts)Look, you will not be able to move your cousin politically. That's a fact, and you know it. And he will not be able to move you politically. That's a fact, and he should know it.
So any political conversation between the two of you can only cause hard feelings. So if you value your cousin otherwise, disengage. Stay away from political discussions. Don't attempt to "score points" at the expense of your friendship.
Put your political energy into things that will yield positive results. Volunteer for your favorite candidate, for example.
I say this because I had a good friend who admired Bush 43. I despise Bush 43. He is a murderer and a war criminal. So I told my friend exactly how I felt. I lost a good friend. And I gained nothing.
We both would have been better off if I had talked about hockey instead. Peace.

(8,175 posts)Of all the attacks listed in the OP, there may have been only one American death.
Suicide car bomber killed four, including a U.S. diplomate directly targeted by the assailants.

I have not researched all of the attacks in the OP's list, but the two highest death counts I did, and no American's were killed. And in Daily Kos's article, they only list one American Death, which I assume they would have highlighted if American's were killed in the other attacks.
The problem here, in saying "American deaths", instead of just "deaths" is in giving the right wing any "error" to build a defense on. They probably only care about American deaths. After all there are terror attacks all the time with people getting killed in other countries, and it's only the four Americans in Benghazi that seem to get their panties in a wad.
Using 9/11 is a much better argument, because that happened right here on our own ground. But then the Boston marathon attack happened here too, under Obamas watch. So be careful with that.
The right is only using Benghazi as a distraction because it is election year. And they may continue to use it until 2016 for the same reason...to swing elections. Just watch how quickly they drop it once 2016 elections are done.
