Did Jon Stewart imply that Senator Lindsey Graham is gay?

Jon was in great form tonight on fake outrage over Benghazi. Jon accused Graham of being more interested in going to a dance with a male colonel than dealing with up armored vehicles

I said that Lindsey Graham has a gay demeanor ...

All gay men do not have a gay demeanor ... I know many gay men and they do not have the slightest gay demeanor ... not even one iota of gay demeanor ... but then I know other gay men that you can tell in the gay twinkle ...

Never said nor even implied that all gay men have a gay demeanor ...

The plantation class, being free of the burden of physical labor, took on the dress and affectations more like European royalty. It comes across these days as somewhat effeminate, but running around in lace panties, silk stockings and wearing a wig and face powder was fairly standard men's attire, so...

I always am impressed that the English legal system is still based on the idea of seeking wisdom from a guy in a dress who wears a wig.

says he was gay. I was born and raised in L.A. and Angelinos often knew who was gay even though they weren't out. We knew about Rock Hudson, Richard Chamberlain and Raymond Burr for years, just as an example. It was common knowledge for those three, and others, including Leslie Howard. For the record, no one that I knew really cared.

Juanita Jean had fun pointing out how delicate Graham was last week http://www.juanitajean.com/2014/05/01/thank-you-senator-prissy-pants/

Oh dear Lord, Senator Lindsey Graham is just a’ titter about Benghazi again. Since that story never grew legs, Graham is carrying it around and trying to get people to smell it. It don’t stink. Graham, however, does.

Get a load of this caca del toro.

l"Our Democratic friends, for the most part, have been in the tank over Benghazi,” the senator said. “Some guy said this about me yesterday on the left: The only reason I cared about this was because I have six tea party opponents. Well, if that’s true, I’m the biggest scumbag in America.”

“I don’t think that’s true; I know it’s not true. It would be almost impossible for Lindsey Graham — given who I am and what I’ve been doing for the last 20 years — not to care about those in harm’s way, who get killed, and not go on to hold the administration accountable that lied about it.”

“The scumbags are the people in the White House who lied about this.”

Keepin’ it classy, Senator Petulant.

Whether he is a closeted homosexual or not, I don't know, and it doesn't matter to me. I don't like implying that anyone "acts gay" just like I don't like when people say white kids who sag their pants and wear hats off to the side "dress black". I know lots of gay men who aren't the slightest bit effeminate.

If he is a hypocrite and closeted, and discriminating against LGBT people, that would be right in character. It is the hypocrisy that bothers me, nothing else.

I wish we could grow up stop worrying about who is gay and who is not.

May 2014

This transcript confirms what I saw last night http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/05/06/1297207/-Jon-Stewart-s-brilliant-takedown-of-right-wing-s-hypocritical-Benghazi-outrage

But that's just Fox News. I'm sure our elected officials like your Lindsey Grahams there, seemingly dedicated the rest of his career to keeping alive the memory of the four we lost at Benghazi, was just as outraged and eager at this flagrant inability to provide for Americans in harm's way.

SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM, R-SC (12/12/2004): Let's get the people what they need, let's press on and learn from our past mistakes. ... I don't want to play politics with this.

(in Southern accent) "I would much rather play a nice game of pinochle." (audience laughter) "Rather than play politics, I'd rather pass this lovely summer afternoon before Colonel Beauregard arrives to escort me to a ball at Tara Manor." (audience laughter)

So, if I may say, your hypocritical outrage and sanctimony aside, the reason it's hard for everybody to get outraged by this terribly tragic and ultimately preventable disaster that was Benghazi is that everybody in this country has seen this movie before. Only that movie was on an IMAX. We'll be right back.
