More Banker Deaths

A female banker allegedly jumped to her death in France this week, bringing the number of recent deaths in the banking industry, most of them suicides, to a record 14.

The woman, whose first name is Lydia-- no last name has been released-- was an employee of the Bred-Banque Populaire. According to the Le Parisien, the 52-year-old woman jumped from the 14th floor of the bank’s headquarters in Paris Tuesday around 10 a.m.

Lydia reportedly jumped to her death after an argument with upper management. A police investigation is underway and employees are being offered medical help for the shock. AG was saying that no bank is too big to jail, nor anyone in said banks, you can bet that has something to do with these suicides. He's been saying this for a while now in fact at about the same time that the deaths began if I remember correctly.

too - awful lot of "jumping" going on. Almost seems like an orchestrated activity ... one wonders what they all were working on.

And they couldn't live with themselves because of their culpability.

Something strikes me as these suicides are like the canary in the coal mine.

somehow I doubt they had remorse over what they did but had problems with being in jail or their masters had problems with what they know.

but it sure would make it hard to prove murder by pushing.

I don't believe these people are jumping.

As your IB link says, people on the internet are trying to find connections between people who have no connection other than industry. It is also the industry with the fifth highest suicide rate in the world.

It is easy to notice a trend when you already have one in mind. Give me a day, and I could link a number of mysterious teacher suicides together and come up with some posit that they're being cleared out due to fighting expanded testing.

I worked in banking before (not on the investment side). The environment is not exactly conducive to mental well-being.

17. Yeah - you have to really want to see the connection to tie these deaths together.

In 2011 apparently the most suicidal profession was Marine Engineers - what did they know?

With Eric Holder as the main enforcer of Law.

Unless, ofcourse, those bankers grow medical marijuana.

We don't arrest bankers in America, just people like these folks:

This whole "epidemic of banker deaths" seems like a media-driven fantasy more than anything else.
