Corporate Media's Known About Christie's Corrupt, Nazified Apparatus For *Years*.....

and has BEEN COVERING UP FOR IT UNTIL NOW.

I'm hoping that in the process of sorting out and RECTIFYING the state government melt-down in NJ ( and.... perhaps we will see... IN NYS as well) the ethics and probity of commercial "news" media... whose DARLING Christie was..... will get a microscopic looking over.

Michael Powell in today's NYT follows up on an earlier piece he wrote about the Christie police state. ( They apparently tried to get him (Powell) fired for writing the first.) Powell's rapidly become my favorite... and maybe my only... connection to the NYT. Let's just hope he doesn't follow the road to obscurity that other great NYT journalists seem to follow ( Schanberg, Bob Herbert, Clyde Haberman, etc. etc. etc.).

They roil the waters. Lots of people don't like the waters roiled.

>>>>Before the bridge scandal, there was Bennett Barlyn.

The mild-mannered father of three had given years of fine service to the State of New Jersey, as deputy attorney general, as director of a sentencing commission and as a lawyer with the state prosecutor in Hunterdon County, a pastoral land that stretches north and east from the Delaware River.

He had a strong sense of those ethical lines that could not be crossed. The trait did not serve him well in the end.>>>>> the rest at

He appeared on a MSNBC show, probably Steve Kornacki's weekend show, and he was very credible. Christie is utterly corrupt and his hopes for higher office are dead in the water. I also hope the ongoing federal investigation results in charges against him.

The Powell account is the first I'd ever heard of it.

Where's the media? I'd say their collective non-coverage of this 4 y o story suggests conscious collusion.

far too many for it to be simply an oversight. They certainly touted him when he was the 'toast of the town' without mentioning the questionable issues already known such as the quashing of the case in the article. The media seems as intimidated by him as is his staff.

The local New Jersey media were the only ones working to bring out what was happening while, at the same time, the big media was busy building up his Presidential candidacy resume. I give Steve Kornacki kudos for moving the stories from the local coverage to forcing the other media outlets into giving it some coverage as well.
