Surfing up and down the radio dial, I must have heard all or parts of 30 different republican commercials during a short one hour trip. On the way back, I gave up the rock stations and just listened to the NPR station playing jazz. Thanks to the 5 fascists on the Supreme Court, the floodgates of lies and propaganda have taken over FM radio here in Alabama.

Obama is taking over our school system.

Obama is taking control of our oil and gas industry.

Obama is planning a communist takeover of the Alabama economy.

Obama is taking away our freedoms.

Obama hates our military and our veterans.


And that's just from some of the new Tea Party fruit-loops running in the republican primaries.


The incumbents are saying things like.....

I blocked Obama Care and saved our health care system.

I created thousands of jobs and saved our economy from Obama.

I protected our church, our religion, and our God from Obama.

I am fighting Obama's takeover of our oil and gas industry.

I serve God, not Obama.

Obama bows down to terrorists, and I fight them.



I'm paraphrasing of course, but you get the idea. It is insane down here.


Being a native of this state has become an even bigger embarrassment than it was in the 1960s. Hell, just being a native of The United States Of America is not too far behind Alabama when the embarrassment of our political system is concerned. The next 6 months are going to be hell. I have cleaned out the DVR and will use that more to avoid the TV commercials. Watching NFL and College Football will probably wear out the mute button on my remote. Will listen to more music online and play more records/CDs/downloads. FM radio has been hijacked by republican political propaganda and name calling. What a fucked up country we have become.

I made it through college in the 1960s and survived being drafted in the Army during those dark days. Those were some very bad times up through the 1970s, but I really feel what is happening now is an order of magnitude worse than the bad times back then. The shit happening now is off the charts!!
