the rapid pace our news whizzes by, I'm thinking Monica may be about as useful to the GOP, come 2016, as Benghazi.

Maybe Monica would have been more useful to stopping the climb in Hillary's poll numbers had they waited until early 2016.

Repukers must really be worried about Hillary's popularity, even with their # 1 charmer Jeb, to dust off Mz Lewinsky..

Old news already.

but I wish folks would turn off the damn television and quit worrying about every non-story wallpapered all over cable "news."

It would be difficult for me to agree more with this sentiment. News, and especially cable "news," exists to lead people around by the nose so they pay attention to stupid, ridiculous things that don't affect them in any way, and to keep them for paying attention to the things that do affect them. Lewinski was a non-story when it happened and it's even less of a story now.

Team Clinton has orchestrated Monica and the magazine outlet to get it all out there, create the "consentual sex" talking points, deal with it and let it get tucked away well before her 2016 run. They are in charge of the timing of all of this and leaving very little to happenstance. The content of Monica's message and the timing is being controlled.

I can't see this being any sort of an accidental timing thing. This is way old story. There are too many more recent Republican scandals that have not been ressurected, but mark my words, they will be ressurected at a more opportune time.

Lynn Cheney said it’s more likely than not that Hillary Clinton herself was the prodding force behind Monica Lewisky telling her side of the Bill Clinton affair in a penned Vanity Fair essay.
“I really wonder if this isn’t an effort on the Clintons’ part to get that story out of the way,” Ms. Cheney said, during a Fox News appearance on Tuesday evening. “Would Vanity Fair publish anything about Monica Lewinsky that Hillary Clinton didn’t want in Vanity Fair?”
