Another wingnut "fact" implodes: Bloomberg reports that 80-90% of Obamacare enrollees are paying

Another wingnut "fact" implodes: Bloomberg reports that 80-90% of Obamacare enrollees are paying

by SantaFeMarie

Ever since the final tallys of the millions of Americans who are newly insured thanks to Obamacare, the airways have been filed with Republicans and their enablers smugly saying "heh - just wait until the first payments are due".

Oops.

Insurers Say Most Obamacare Customers Paid First Premiums

Three large health insurers including WellPoint Inc. (WLP) and Aetna Inc. (AET) say that a high percentage of their new Obamacare customers are paying their first premiums, undermining a Republican criticism of enrollment in the program.

As many as 90 percent of WellPoint customers have paid their first premium by its due date, according to testimony the company prepared for a congressional hearing today. For Aetna, the payment is in the “low to mid-80 percent range,” the company said in its own testimony. Health Care Service Corp., which operates Blue Cross Blue Shield plans in five states including Texas, said that number is at least 83 percent.

get your info from the likes of today's MSM. Has anyone else noticed one major glaring thing, these state so called Exchanges are,to a greater extent, run by the same Tech Companies. My opinion is this, these are companies that for the most part, bid these contracts just to suck the financial fluid out of them to get the maintenance agreement. Looking at the garbage software packs that they used are just plain junk and doomed to fail. Between the Rethug Governors and their real motives, this report is a major slap in the face for all the Thugs. Really surprised Bloomberg would allow a positive piece favoring Mr. Obama to appear on his TV. Watch Bloomy quite a bite and as of the first of January, his Business News Channel has gone spin room, you would thing everything they report comes from the RNC and Chamber of Commerce. I know,he is a Libertarian, but,it is Business News, give me a break. Sad,when you hear or see the news,to get the real story, turn the story on it's head and you find the truth.

And the opposite happened...Same as always.

The Chicago Cubs will sweep the Worlds Series, sooner than the GOP will act in the best interests of the general American public.

Health insurance execs deal another blow to Obamacare 'repeal' crowd

by kos

Conservatism, in a nutshell:

House Republicans summoned a half-dozen health insurance executives to a hearing Wednesday envisioned as another forum for criticism of the Affordable Care Act. But insurers refused to go along with the plan, and surprised Republican critics of the law by undercutting some of their arguments against it.

Representative Michael C. Burgess, Republican of Texas, sounded a bit disappointed at the end of the hearing. He marveled at the subdued testimony and complained that no one at the witness table “wanted to be forthcoming.”

Reality has a well-known liberal bias. And if the people most heavily regulated by the law have little to bitch about (they want lower taxes and a better technical interface with the feds), then it has to be because they didn't want to tell the truth.

It couldn't possibly be that the law isn't the death-knell of capitalism, freedom, and the American Way, could it?
