(47,953 posts)And frankly, I try to 'dilute' the gun related ones whenever possible, and they haven't been messed with. I was just kind of pissed that a thread I started on a shooting got locked because it was "gun related". It was not an advocacy story (one way or the other) in the slightest, IMO.

(47,953 posts)The 'You just don't understand the law' and 'things would be even more perfect if only we had fewer restrictions' garbage.
I grew up in a family that hunted, both for food and sport. My spouse was an avid skeet shooter. At no time in my youth did anyone advocate for the sorts of laws we have now, where military grade weapons can be carried openly into malls. Where people openly point guns at law enforcement and other government officials, and hope for a 'final reckoning' . They would be, and are, appalled. The sort of brainwashing that has gone on these last 30 or so years has turned what was once a noble part of American culture into a psychopathic fantasy.
