Big, brave RW hosebag flack attacks 12-year-old girl

New GOP Attack On 12 Year-Old Madison Kimrey

My voting rights activist friend, 12-year-old Madison Kimrey recently penned an article titled
Son Of GOP Senator Pushing Strict Voter ID Laws Arrested With Fake ID.

After Madison’s article was published, a right-wing talk radio host, Pete Kaliner, tried to discount her in his blog by referring to her as an “abortion advocate.” Kaliner also said that Madison “demanded” a meeting with North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory so they could discuss the sweeping anti-voter bill McCrory signed into to law.

Her article had NOTHING to do with abortion, and notice the manipulated and misleading terminology the right is so fond of using. Madison never made any demands. EVER. Her petition is titled “Pat McCrory: Let’s Sit Down and Enjoy A Snack Together.” Hardly a demand.

The fact that she is so young and that she has called out the GOP AGAIN on their blatant hypocrisy is almost too much for them to take, so they attack her by inventing false narratives in an effort to discredit her. She BOTHERS them because she tells the truth. The fact she is a girl and is so young is even worse – or better – depending on your perpective.

very disturbing to watch. They jumped up just like jack-in-the-boxes to clap on cue, with a lock-step adoration.

My kid toddler watched as it came on after the weather as we got ready for school, and clapped. No idea what Rush was talking about, but hearing anything put forth with enthusiasm or with a certain tone draws a like response. I've learned some adults are no more mature than that.

As far as the audience doing the clapping to train the viewers, it didn't matter what Rush said. He'd pause as if he'd just said something of great import, usually flattering himself. Their response was as if Pavlov's dogs were reacting to a bell. The psychological trick was so obvious there.

It was more diffused on his AM radios show, but instead of half-an-hour like the television show, it was six times as long on weekdays with re-runs on the weekends. He'd reel in people with his folksy routine calling them 'friends,'claiming 'we all know...' about whatever he was pushing.

He was on the large local AM stations near where I lived. Young men called in and were permitted to speak if allowed by the call screeners who never allowed opposing views. They were treated as if they had won a prize, and it was an exclusive honor to get to speak the great man with 'talent on loan from God.'

They exclaimed to him. 'You are my God.' Rush lapped it up. I listened to see what it was people were talking about and it sickened me. He planted seeds of women and POC being a problem, and on day on killing the disabled, by reading a news story without a word it was a bad thing, as he did with others.

He went full tilt every day about HRC's attempt as FLOTUS to reform health care, saying government would set up Death Panels to kill the elderly, disabled and unpopular people, like Nazis.

It was very effective in scaring people to vote GOP who hadn't before and ushering in the Gingrich crowd. It was the first GOP majority for many years.

He called for hunting down liberals with dogs and making them extinct.
Oh, everything he said was made out to be a joke if called on in the public sphere. But one must think about the real content of what he said.

Other human beings to be eliminated from the gene pool (Hello, Hitler) for not following the right political views. He was the root of what we are dealing with today and haa infected an entire generation. Even if they tire of him, they will go to something that excites them a lot more, like the Tea Party, Libertarian, Oathkeepers, etc A niche fo every type with no questioning the belief system he instilled. And he is still on the AFN.

I don't know anybody who is "Pro-Abortion".

I know many who are Pro-Choice, as am I.
Safe, Legal, and Rare.

I'm old enough to remember when abortions were illegal.
The RICH quietly sent their daughters on a "vacation" to Europe for a month.
Thousands of the daughters of the Working/Middle Class and Poor were butchered every year in back alley abortions or committed suicide.

The decision to make abortions legal wasn't a religious or moral debate.
It was a decision to end the senseless carnage that touched thousands & thousands of families in America.
Lets NOT go there again.

...and others who support a woman's right to decide what she does with her own body have been giving conservatives (or regressives) a big pass by agreeing to refer to them as "pro-life" when there is really nothing about their ideology that would make them rightfully "pro-life".

These people should be properly referred to as "pro-birth" because as soon as the child takes in its first breath with its own lungs, conservatives are immediately doing all they can to make life difficult for them.

Let's just tell it like it is. They want to force their ideas on young women, force them to have babies whether they want them or not. Most also want to stop birth control pills for unmarried women, so they really are trying force younh poor women to have children they can't afford to raise.

1986, when I was in college, I attended a pro-choice march and rally in D.C., callers the "March for Women's Lives". Amid all of the usual signs and fervor, one large sign caught a lot of attention. It had a white background with the message written in red, scraggly letters. That message read: My mom had an illegal abortion. I don't miss the baby. I miss my mom." The simple power of that quietly-stated message resonated with many, particularly older women (of which I now am one!)

I talked with the woman, who said she was tired of people always asking if she missed the sibling she could have had (with some implying she should have had), and never even mentioning or considering her mother and that terrible loss she would always feel. We cannot return to that.

the words of a 12 year old you've already lost.
When your arguments are rooted in superstition and bigotry and exposed by a 12 year old it's time to break out the hemlock.
Republicans: How low can they go? It gets lonely at the bottom of the barrel.

here's the stream for 570 WWNC and kaliner is on 3-6pm EST after beck and limbaugh. what a stellar fucking lineup.

http://209.8.115.210:80/7/788/19991/v1/auth.akacast.akamaistream.net/wwnc-am

is this one of the 8 or so stations limbaugh stations that UNC endorses? (https://sites.google.com/site/universitiesforrushlimbaugh/)

the only reason these assholes say the crap they do and keep getting away with it is because only seldom does anyone challenge them on it in real time (like you're doing now)

snowtape is software that allows recording of multiple streams at the same time for $30
macspeech scribe $(150) allows 6 different trainable speech profiles - it aint perfect but training it helps.
i have to use itunes as an intermediary to get the stream that snowtape can import by plugging the call letters in here http://www.radio-locator.com/, opening the stream in itunes, then get info, edit url, copy url, then import to snowtape. then export the recording to itunes and then it can be opened with macscribe.

these are for mac and there might be better out there.

north carolina dems, like dems in any state, can monitor their main state blowhards without having to listen to the crap! when they say shit like this, and there will be a lot more attacks and lies from these assholes before the elections, get the proof from the recording with accurate transcript, and take it to the media.

this asshat may be doing this on his own but he also might have been having asshole conversations about this girl. and radio intimidation and threats from these guys aren't just a little bit of free speech politics- it's a threat because their audiences are nuts. local and national GOP are used to funneling theirdirty work thru these jerks because they know few liberals are listening.

They can't, because its a lot harder finding someone so young willing and able to lie and twist facts in order to debate her, which is what they'd have to find. Out of the mouth of babes and all that.

Reading some of those comments...agh. So predictable. "the left" is "using her" as if she's some kind of puppet.

The fact that she's young is bad enough for them; the fact that she's female is too much for them to bear!

Madison has a long and brilliant career ahead of her. She is amazing and her intellect and outgoing personality should be celebrated, not feared.

One day when I was going trough Asheville. The guy that was on before this windbag got hired was a bit to the right but mostly a centrist, I could only listen to this sleazeball for about 5 minutes before I had to change it.

At least Asheville had a decent progressive station to counter his idiocy, but the signal isn't nearly as strong.
