... I think people should consider where they're at before rowdy kids become an issue. A Japanese Bistro (ticket above) is a place where you might expect a quiet meal without rowdy kids.

But I've had instances at so-called 'family restaurants' where overly-sensitive patrons complained about my kid and other kids. It's all where you go and what time you're there as to whether you're going to get a quite kid-less meal.

Go at old people's times. I have for years, even when I was not so old myself. It is quieter all the way around.

because my then 4 year old son was flirting with the hostess.

I was pretty pissed, I've never been comped in a restaurant and he gets a free meal at 4.
