As with Obamacare, GOP will need fifty failed Benghazi attempts before they move on...

...to the next manufactured scandal.

In Boehner's defense, what little there is, he has absolutely no power over the unfolding hearing. If it helps them raise money, a feckless speaker like Boehner won't stop them. Their goal is no invent something with which to bring impeachment charges, as they will no do for every Democratic president ever elected. It's just part of their m.o.

Just to convince their base that they are standing up to Obama / Democrats I guess. It doesn't seem like a winning issue to the middle - it has no "crossover" appeal that I can see. Rather it looks like the party that cried wolf; not just to us but to the middle / undecided folks.
