We have to have a little dog, under 20 pounds. Will start looking this July.

those are victorian bulldogges.
sorta designer throw back dogs. all the rage these days.
back in the day they called it good husbandry.

would have gotten a boxer, but they seem to have become giant, flashy firecrackers.

13. a friend dug them up, found the breeder, and

started posting puppy porn.

not perfect, but damn good bullies. the breeder does iron dog with them. big ribbon bloodlines, bred to good standards.

i've had a lot of mutts, and loved them dearly. but i think that dog breeds are an amazing human accomplishment as worthy of protection as heritage chickens.
especially as a farmer. my farm is itty bitty, but my dogs do a lot of work. even if its just laying out and barking at the hawks. there would be no agriculture without dogs and dog breeding. just a shame there is so little work left for them to do.

was really happy to support keeping that alive, not just confined to paperwork lines.
