NYC: Airport Workers Overwhelmingly Vote to Join Union
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/airport-workers-vote-join-32bj-seiu-article-1.1789162Some 4,051 out of 6,100 workers voted Monday to become members of the union and to secure a collective bargaining process. The vote came after a $1-an-hour raise was promised by the Port Authority for minimum wage workers at city-area airports and that workers would be paid at least $10.10 by the end of 2015.
