Watching the 9/11 Memorial Museum opening

It's beautifully done. In flashbacks, I'm struck by the enormity of that day once again and it still leaves me trembling. Listening to the poignant stories of the heroes ans survivors of the terrible tragedy is uplifting. Its hard to see the through the tears in my eyes and my heart is pounding just like on 9/11. Although I will never be able to visit the site, I am very grateful to be able to watch the ceremony as a small spectator from afar.

All I can think of is the intentional, planned failure of intelligence that led to the deaths of thousands of innocents, and the fact that black-hearted, soulless war criminals are free to live out their lives. They closed their eyes to the intelligence in hand and then used that "failure" as a pretext to set up a surveillance state that targets the entire nation. Mission accomplished.

One of the first things I noticed was that Bush was absent at the solemn memorial event.

This is a private museum. The above ground may be free, but the Museum is $24.00 I think. They can invite anyone they choose, or not.

Utterly sickening. From blaming the wrong perpetrators to ignoring the massive security failure to profiting off the nation's most public tragedy -- the list goes on...
