Operation American Spring falls flat: ‘This is very disappointing,’ Texan says UPDATED 1:43 EST

Operation American Spring, billed as a Friday morning multi-million patriot march on Washington, D.C., to oust leadership from the nation’s capital — from President Obama to House Speaker John Boeher — has proven woefully below expectations.

“It’s a very dismal turnout,” said Jackie Milton, 61, a Jacksboro, Texas, resident and the head of Texans for Operation American Spring, to The Washington Times. He said hopes were high when he arrived in Alexandria, Va., a day or so ago and found motels and hotels were sold out for 30 miles around.

The thing is, they don't understand that the "Tea Party" was largely a media production. They thought it was a spontaneous phenomenon, and can't figure out why the magic is gone.

They're just related to the Wicked Witch of the West, so they can't get wet.

There was a thread the other day, asking people what sort of turnout this event would actually have. I didn't post a response, but thought, "Depends on whether the Koch brothers are plonking down money for bussed-in 'patriots'."

3. I was reading comments on the "Patriots For America" Facebook page. A group in Florida was crowing about hiring a 59-passenger luxury coach to attend the rally. Turned out, they cancelled the bus because only 7 signed up and 4 of those dropped out for medical reasons.

museums like any other tourist would. I highly recommend the National Archives which has a copy of the Constitution. You might be surprised if you read it. You might even recognize that the actions/rhetoric of your vaunted "American Spring" are treasonous. What you call "patriotism" is really just a form of "sedition." Sorry, you have been duped by con-men and grifters. Someone your age should be a little wiser.

Because nobody ever goes to DC for vacation unless their plans involve an overthrow of the current gov't. (sarcasm)

The Preakness is this weekend so that could account in part for the hotel occupancy situation.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

Oh sorry, I guess that was the US Government Postal Service motto.
Not the lazy fat-assed big-mouthed Teabagger patriot wannabe's.
