These people were kicked off the Bundy ranch a month ago for being too extreme and threatening violence...the guy actually said it in a live on tv on site interview...during a face off with federal agents. What more do you want? If NSA didn't try to stop this guy then their whole domestic program is USELESS... Unless its just a tool of the drug war or political blackmail. I recall when people here claimed NSA was only for foreign wiretapping but the goalposts keep getting moved. I'm not a conspiracy buff so I'll try and believe NSA and FBI didn't follow these two or let it happen for more gun control...no, I'll assume they just dropped the ball again proving they are a waste of $$$.

How inept can they be? These two weren't in a small, hidden cell off the grid. They were AT the #1 threat site inside the US...The Bundy Ranch. That would be like showing up at Waco and have people claim they didn't see you. Have you watched the VIDEO? The shooter is interviewed on live TV at Bundys and say point blank he's gonna start playin hardball and killing law enforcement. And he wasn't dressed like those photos in the media. He was in military fatigues, clean cut and looked like a marine. It isn't handed to you on a silver platter any easier than that. Who cares of he wasn't driving a car to the scene whether he owned one or not. You think he crawled to that Ranch? This is simply outrageous and should become a scandal.

is that these two are just two of millions of babbling nuts online. Dozens of people were interviewed @ the Bundy Ranch alone. I'll bet that the people there have posted hundreds of videos over time that are WAY worse than the one you cited. The ex-sheriff in the picture was on and off the ranch throughout. Why hasn't he been arrested? The fact is that if they went after every one of the nuts that post anti-government crap online we wouldn't have enough jail cells to put them in.

There can be an argument made that the Sheriff should have made a visit to this couple the minute they left the area. They should have eyes on these people and wait till they can safely be questioned and arrested if appropriate. But to say that they NSA or the FBI should be doing that is overkill, pardon the pun.

Oh and the Bundy Ranch is hardly the #1 threat site inside the US, in fact I would be hard pressed to even put it on the top 100 list.

It's almost impossible to cite the number of lunatics who have "plainly stated" that they intended to kill cops and any other representative of this government. The fact is that those kind of overt threats have been spewed over the airwaves for years now, in videos and in online posts and yes on LIVE TV. As much as it sucks, threatening to kill police officers doesn't make you a national security threat. If it did GITMO would be overflowing.

Your logic seems to be based on exaggerating the importance that a group of wanna be militia have in the scope of REAL threats that agencies like the NSA deal with. I don't believe the reasons given by the Bundy Bunch. It's just as likely that he was kicked out for recruiting for HIS cause rather than genuflecting to Bundy's henchmen. I don't believe HIS version of the story either. Who knows, maybe if they would have let him play in their rain deer games he would have behaved himself. In the two TV interviews I saw of him he didn't say a word about killing cops. In both interviews he does mention federal agents but not cops. In the local TV News interview he states that he doesn't want violence but if Federal Agents come at him with violence he would "speak that language".
