John Nienstedt, the Catholic archbishop who championed the failed effort to ban same-sex marriage in Minnesota, is facing a church investigation over allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with other men, including priests and seminary students.

During the campaign to ban marriage equality, Neinstedt said Satan is behind gay rights and called homosexuality a “grave evil.”
He has criticized the film Brokeback Mountain as an attack on Jesus Christ that would bring down society and described homosexuality as the “result of psychological trauma” that “must be understood in the context of other human disorders: envy, malice, greed, etc.”

The "popular" imagery is actually a bastardization of the Roman semi-god, "Pan."
would get a makeover! I mean, he's not without power, Old Satan is--some nice threads, maybe a facial, good hair style, a manicure...all those things can go a long way towards making people take you seriously or find you appealing! Maybe he's only trying to appeal to 47 percent of the crowd!
It's not terribly believable to think that people could be lured by someone who is as clumsy looking as the dorks they use to portray the devil.
I guess the "straight and narrow" types fear that if the devil LOOKS good, he'll hold some appeal....!
Hilarious picture, that! The moustache is an especially nice touch! Of course, when "Satan" shaved it, he looked like....thisssss!!!
