(34,333 posts)Your babies are awesome. I just love their little upright tails, lol. I'll bet they're still your babies even at 10.
AGG, how are Tater & Moonpie?

Cute video, Warpy. Thanks.
(Three of our four feline fur kids had to be held in the tub for their baths; however, our siamese would just sit there enjoying the warm water. Take your hands away and she wouldn't try to hop out... and she didn't mind the hair dryer either. )

(111,141 posts)but she'll tolerate the bath with very little complaining. I use a thermometer and keep the temperature just a little warmer than kitty temperature, around 105.
Then I roll her up in a towel and hold her until the outside of the towel feels damp. At that point I turn her loose, enough of the water being wicked into the towel to prevent her sitting and miserably shivering.
She dries in a flash here in the desert. She was a lot more miserable when I bathed her in Florida.
Speculation is that the comfort loving kitty in the video is a Turkish van, a type of cat that gravitates to water rather than avoiding it.

(28,117 posts)Your breadth of knowledge often amazes me.
My siamese would tolerate anything to stay warm. She slept under the covers with me nine months of the year. When she had her only litter - you guessed it - she moved all four babies under the covers. I was a nervous wreck worrying that I'd crush a baby. My hubby moved to the sofa until I came up with an obvious solution of putting a heating pad, set on low and covered by several layers of towels in her covered box in the closet. That was acceptable to her.
Btw, I would towel dry her before using the dryer on the lowest setting. My stories about her and my other kitties could go on and on.
