I have always worked in the public sector at the municipal and state level. How much did private companies pick what was covered in the plans they offered their employees prior to the ACA?

(16,402 posts)[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]HL's benefit package included insurance that already paid for contraception. HL was either unaware of it or had no issue with it until they were approached by another firm that wanted to make an issue of it.

(6,228 posts)My wife worked for a catholic hospital and they covered no birth control medication, unless if was for a medical reason other than contraception. I am guessing HL had the same.

The firm that approached them started with a "B" but I don't remember the name. Big help, I know. It might be in "Most discussed" or "Greatest" threads by now. I'm sure someone around here knows.
