(9,688 posts)He needs help in messaging, help from aides who understand the message and can communicate it simply, in easily understandable words (technobabble leads to "semantics", and lies, and even more terrible lies).
But as an observer (I have no vote in the process) I say that he and his aides are doing a damn fine job.

The solution to economic inequality, the demise of the Middle Class and the crushing of the working poor is actually really simple.
Improve our collective value system to require businesses to pay people decent wages. Accept the fact that labor and wages are not some horrid extra expense, but are part o the cost of doing business -- and that decent livable wages (a fair days pay for a dair days work) are a moral obligation.
If we as a society got back to that basic value (which was much stronger from the end of WW2 until the 1980's) it would go a long way toward fixing a whole host of problems.
