Free cell phone for people over 60. Is this true and how to I find out about it?

I have been having problems with my cell phone recently and just bought a Tracfone. I was asked buy a neighbor why don't I get one of the free 'over 60' phones which come with about 300 free minutes a month. Cannot find out anything about this. True? Anyone have a link?
Thanks

provides for low income folks. In the pay department, check out Citizens Cellular. Different options particularly for people over 60, even better rates if you belong to AARP.

Now mocked by right wingers as being "obamaphones"

PR, check it out. I've never had one; am on a family plan with ATT. Could one of your kids put you on their plan for a phone? That would also be an economical solution.
