U.S. Supreme Court green lights 9/11 victims lawsuit against Saudi Arabia

July 8, 2014

In a decision largely unreported by the national media, the U.S. Supreme Court last week denied Saudi Arabia’s appeal that it be dropped as a defendant in a civil lawsuit alleging it bankrolled al Qaeda in the years before 9/11.

(....)

With the U.S. government as a courtroom ally, the Kingdom appealed. The Justice Department filed a “friend-of-the-court” brief arguing that both the Kingdom and its officials were immune from suit for their governmental acts.

Sharon Premoli, who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center’s North Towner, is co-chair of the activist group 9/11 Families United to Bankrupt Terrorism.

“The US Government unfortunately chose not to stand by the families and survivors of 9/11. All we can say is that we were very, very disappointed,” she said.

Federal judge waits for FBI in Sarasota Saudis case
Apr 17, 2014
“It all ties together about financing power, leading back to the Saudis,” said Bill Doyle, a retired stockbroker who lives in the Central Florida community of The Villages, and whose youngest son, Joseph, died after being trapped in New York’s World Trade Center.
“The 28 pages are part and parcel of the FBI documents,” said Premoli, who survived the terror attacks and narrowly escaped from the World Trade Center’s north tower. “It is all one big cover-up.”
Obama publicly promised to make the chapter public, but has not done so.

Senator Bob Graham On Bush-Saudi-9/11 Coverup
Originally aired on December 16, 2013
An Op-Ed in the NY Post is raising new suspicions about Saudi Arabia's role in 9/11 and the Bush Administration's role in covering it up. We discuss the cover up with former Senator and Chairman of the Select Intelligence Committee Bob Graham.

Inside the Saudi 9/11 coverup
December 15, 2013
President Bush inexplicably censored 28 full pages of the 800-page report. Text isn’t just blacked-out here and there in this critical-yet-missing middle section. The pages are completely blank, except for dotted lines where an estimated 7,200 words once stood (this story by comparison is about 1,000 words).
A pair of lawmakers who recently read the redacted portion say they are “absolutely shocked” at the level of foreign state involvement in the attacks.

I suppose this ruling can be seen as a kind of bellwether indicating how bilateral relations with KSA have changed.

Now let's see the evidence. Are the Saudi's going to let Bush/Cheney get away with this, or will they speak up. Time will tell.

Khobar Towers is going to be a very important point of discovery here.
Unfortunately, all of this only amounts to entertainment for the curious masses.

Just keep your eyes on all of the complicit members of this coverup.

This involves the highest level of US law enforcement.

I wouldn't exactly call it a scam -- but it's certainly attracted its share of scammers along the way because of the potentially huge payoff involved. It also has ties to some of the more virulent Islamophobes. And there are persistent hints of US intelligence connections as well.

The law firm Motley Rice, which originally filed the 9-11 Families United to Bankrupt Terrorism lawsuit in 2002, has apparent (though unacknowledged) ties to something called the NEFA (Nine Eleven Finding Answers) Foundation. NEFA is a somewhat shadowy operation that comes under suspicion on conspiracy theory sites of being a front for US intelligence. Here are a couple of the less conspiratorial accounts:

http://www.charlestoncitypaper.com/charleston/nefa-works-under-the-radar-to-interview-terrorists-analyze-data/Content?oid=1113123

NEFA was founded by former employees of Rosetta Research, a privatized intelligence firm that got in trouble when it arranged for the arrest of an Afghan heroin trafficker who was also a major US intelligence asset. Rosetta had been involved with the 911 Families lawsuit until its downfall, so in that area NEFA appears to serve as its successor.

December 27, 2008

At the instigation of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Rosetta agents lured Noorzai to America and delivered him right into the feds' hands. He spent 11 days in an Embassy Suites Hotel in Manhattan in 2005, enjoying room service and considering himself a guest of the U.S. government -- until he was arrested. He was imprisoned for three years awaiting his trial, which concluded in September. He faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced in January. . . .

Whatever else it was, the sting operation was a unique blending of public and private sector efforts that appears to have taken the outsourcing of federal law enforcement to new levels, according to interviews and internal Rosetta documents reviewed by The Washington Post. . . .

In the summer of 2003, two businessmen -- Mike A., a former Army captain, and Patrick J., a former Treasury Department financial-crimes analyst -- founded Rosetta. Its mission was to assist in a mammoth legal case filed on behalf of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks by tracking the flow of terrorist-connected money. The Post is not using the men's full names because of the sensitive nature of their undercover work.

The documents show that another aim of Rosetta's principals was to turn a profit by developing a database of terrorist financial information that could be sold to banks, securities firms and the government.

Court documents filed by his defence lawyer, and seen by the Irish Examiner, reveal details of how US authorities operated in the years after the September 11 attacks. In its rush to gather information believed vital to the war on terror, it is alleged the Bush administration at the highest level signed off on a project that would involve doing the most shady deals with very shady individuals. . . .

Mr Fisher, Noorzai’s lawyer, claims the company, Rosetta Research and Consulting, was set up in 2003 to find and sell information about terrorist groups to private and public entities.

“In this regard, Rosetta sought and obtained millions of dollars of investments from various individuals and entities and developed relationships with individuals in the FBI and the Department of Defense, including then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and then Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz,” papers filed with the New York federal court claim.

In essence, the spy business was, at least in part, being privatised. It is alleged the company spent hundreds of thousands of government cash paying off — bribery, say the defence — go-betweens prior to setting up the meeting.

John McCain makes occasional mention of his friend, Admiral Chuck Larson, whose distinguished career includes the command of nuclear submarines and the management of the Naval Academy.

Not as well known but by no means concealed is Larson’s link to Washington’s ViaGlobal Group, the successor company to ViaFinance and Galway Partners.

ViaGlobal was serving as the “business incubator” for Rosetta Research and Consulting LLC, best known as the company involved in luring Afghan tribal chieftain and accused drug kingpin Haji Bashar Noorzai to the U.S., where he was arrested in April of 2005.
