The legislation comes a week after the high court ruled that many private companies including plaintiff Hobby Lobby craft stores were within their rights to seek an exemption from the contraception mandate if they could cite a religious objection to providing health plans that include some kinds of birth control.

(5,325 posts)Employers are, or at least were, mandated to provide all approved forms of contraception under ACA. That's what the Supremes ruling was all about. How would another law mandating the same thing work out any differently?

(19,537 posts)If paying for their employee's health insurance coverage is so objectionable to them, then they should WANT us to put in place single payer coverage for everyone so they don't have to worry about offending their religion with what they pay for. Truth is they want to CONTROL those who work for them, and that is why they don't want to push for single payer health coverage. The press should be constantly challenging them on this question every time these "corporate persons" complain in the style of the Hobby Lobbyists!
