What's the biggest company in your state? *by revenue

We know Microsoft’s headquarters are in Washington, and Google is based in California. But did you know these tech giants aren’t even close to being the largest companies in their home states?

A new map created by the telecommunications company Broadview Networks shows us each state’s biggest corporation by annual revenue.

In Massachusetts, the insurance company Liberty Mutual takes the cake. Based in Boston, Liberty Mutual brings in a respectable $38.5 billion in revenue each year.

I finally found it! In Pennsylvania:

Pennsylvania – AmeriSourceBergen

Location – Chesterbrook, PA

Revenue (Billions) – $87.95

I must admit that I never heard of it. I expected one of the health care systems.

Most people would interpret "what's the biggest company in your state" to mean "what company does the most business in your state" or "what company has the largest payroll in your state"... but companies don't always earn their income (or employ their workforce) in the state where they have their HQ.

Oh, but wait... I forgot... They moved their headquarters to Chicago a few years ago, so they're not at all a Washington-based company or anything.
