What is US policy toward the Israel-Palestine conflict, and is it correct?

It seems like we always back Israel, stand aside for a few days while they blow the shit out of the Palestinians, then shed some crocodile tears and make noises about a ceasefire.

Then, we go back to being an "honest broker" in the never-get-anywhere peace negotiations. While we give Israel $3 billion a year to go kill more Palestinians with.

Note to hosts: THIS IS ABOUT US POLICY.

Unconditional support for Israel, with doomed attempts to broker a solution due to some silly notion of the US being an indispensable force for justice and order.

The policy is 100% opposite of what we should be doing--cut all aid, stay neutral, shut up, and butt out.

The only thing that would even begin to work.. is a Palestinian homeland (they are not going anywhere).. Recognition of Israel (they are not going anywhere)

Otherwise they are going to blow each other to smithereens. an draw the rest of the world into it.

I'm not sure this is the forum to have this particular discussion.

You would do better to put this in its I/P group.

This seems like a potential lock even though it's current news.

Hope we can all remain adult and rational and have this topic be discussed.

If not you have the heads up.
