Israeli Lawmaker Calls for Genocide of Palestinians…Gets 5,000 Facebook Likes

Not sure where to post this but this is a story among current events. It is a story that is important, IMHO. Mods, let me know if it needs to go elsewhere.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/07/08/israeli-lawmaker-calls-for-genocide-of-palestinians-gets-5000-facebook-likes/

Just a day before Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Khudair was kidnapped and burned alive (allegedly by six Israeli Jewish youths), Israeli lawmaker Ayelet Shaked took to Facebook to call for genocide of the Palestinians people.

It was a bloodthirsty statement of intent, declaring “the entire Palestinian people is the enemy” and calling for their total destruction, “including its elderly and its women, its cities and its villages, its property and its infrastructure.” She calls for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to “little snakes.”

If Shaked’s post does not meet the legal definition of a call for genocide then nothing does. It would have fit perfectly in the pages of Nazi propaganda rag Der Sturmer.

Worse – Shaked is not some fringe element, a distasteful but impotent shadow. She is a senior figure in the Habeyit Hayehudi (Jewish Home) party that is part of Israel’s ruling coalition. Her post was shared more than a thousand times and received almost five thousand “Likes.”

Right-wing anti-arab hate sites like The Tower, PalWatch, and Gatestone Institute are, though.

I just know that I found the story shocking and that it appears to have been documented also at this link, which I would think would be somehow more acceptable for calling for extermination of a people.

I am not surprised that it isn't allowed on a site for partisan Democrats.

Hitler's "final solution" for the "Jewish problem" has now become, for some, Israel's "final solution" for the "Palestinian problem".

The history which lead up to the Holocaust is not particularly similar to the history which has led to the current I/P conflict.

that would not make its crimes Buddhist crimes. Even the Vatican does not represent all Catholics---and their dogma insists that the Pope is infallible.

or the world will view this as representative of Israel. Even Netanyahoo stated that the killing of the Palestinian teenager would 'not be tolerate' by Israel and that justice would be served for that murder. So this woman needs to go. What an embarrassment to her country she is. Shameful.

this Israeli lawmaker needs to be held accountable for posting such an outlandish statement. However, Israel is surrounded by people who have made the same statements about them.

Now, if I can talk a little sense for a moment. About who actually benefits from all this insanity. And no, it is not Israel. And it is not Palestine. And it isn't even the U.S. The only group that benefits economically from this constant unrest is the Saudi Royal family.

I want to see the royal Sauds donate a fraction of their wealth to the struggling people of Palestine. But wait. If the Sauds made the Palestinians less desperately poor, then the Palestinians would not be a Cause that the Sauds can use to deflect the anger of young Arabs away from the corruption of their own monarchy. So, basically, it is in the best interest of the f**ing Sauds to keep the Palestinians poor and pathetic and keep angry young Arabs angry at Israel so that they will be Muslim activists rather than Marxist activists which has got to be the Sauds absolute worst nightmare---

I hope I have a front row seat when those corrupt, decidedly un-devout SOB Sauds get kicked out on their asses as they will be sooner or later.

And I wonder when the people of Israel will ever get wise to the fact that Saudi Arabia is using them. The same way that the Czars used them. And every other tyrant of Europe. Nothing personal. They use the Chinese the same way in some Southeast Asian countries. I am sure that someone is getting his or her palm greased by some Carlyle rep for keeping up all the "let's exterminate them" talk.

creepy post for political reasons and they bought the "likes". I really hope that there are not 5000 people with computers who think that killing old women and children is a good thing. Because that would be scary. Seriously scary. I can imagine 5000 dirt poor starving people who are struggling just to survive being willing to kill for scraps of food. But 5000 people lucky enough to own computers and have access to Facebook---they need to be more charitable.
