Ellmers urges men to bring policy ‘down to a woman’s level’. RENEE Ellmers.

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/ellmers-urges-men-bring-policy-down-womans-level

Late last week, however, a number of conservative women lawmakers, mostly members of the Republican Study Committee, got together to discuss GOP “messaging” when it comes to outreach to women voters. According to the Washington Examiner’s Ashe Schow, Ellmers was one of the featured guests, though the congresswoman’s remarks were hard to believe.

“Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level,” Ellmers said. “Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor, you know, they’ve got some pie chart or graph behind them and they’re talking about trillions of dollars and how, you know, the debt is awful and, you know, we all agree with that.” (…)

As for connecting to women specifically, Ellmers drove it home with a line that, had there been liberals in the audience, would have made the news.

“We need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman’s level and what everything that she is balancing in her life – that’s the way to go,” Ellmers said.

The space between her ears must be filled with Ellmers glue!

I think she'd better...

things at a "higher level".

That is such totally bull-roar. Women are as intelligent and capable of complex thought as men. Based on my work experience over the past 30+ years I have seen women make more reasoned and successful decisions than men. Men often approach a problem with the "I don't need to read the instruction manual" mentality. They believe they know everything they need to know just by "gut feel" without the need for actual facts.

Women on the other hand have been more pragmatic, always probing and asking questions. They often don't rush to judgement or decision and because of that the decisions have been more correct and productive.

Don't get me wrong about men. Men are also very capable leaders.

But for her to suggest that women can only relate at a lower level when my experience has been that women often make as good or better decisions than men belies her stupid comment.

They, including repub women, truly believe women are 'lesser than' and need to be talked down to, controlled, restricted.

This woman is dumber than a bag of hammers hence her affinity to repub policies.

BY ASHE SCHOW | JULY 15, 2014 On Sunday, I wrote an article about the GOP's poor messaging on the “war on women” narrative. I posted some comments from Rep. Renee Ellmers, R-N.C., who said GOP men need to bring their messages “down to a woman's level.”

Ellmers called me a “liberal woman reporter” and said I had taken her quote “completely out of context.”

Below are her full comments from the event Friday, along with the audio of her segment. I have bolded the comments I used in my original post.

this is a stupid cone dipped in stupid with stupid sprinkles.

And as I posted on another thread on this subject, I don't believe Ellmers will win her reelection.

Perhaps she was just speaking to her own inability to understand charts, graphs and stuff which in itself would be a strong recommendation to a swift career change.

Thanks for the thread, KamaAina.
