His favorite expression when teaching what was permissible in geometric proofs and what was not was to call anything not allowed "Sick Bird" (an alliteration on 'Ill Eagle' or illegal). He was a bizarre man in many ways, but an outstanding teacher. He had dozens of little sayings and ways to make things memorable. I miss him and wish their were more like him ...

About not wanting his medicare to become a government program, that'd be an attack on the tea party, but I think the spelling and grammar in that sign was ok.

The sign holder was just clueless.

but it had lovely color illustrations. i am always grabbing thesauruses. AND OLD ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICAS ARE AWESOME. and any old bartlett's.
