copy their methods and get ourselves a union" people say "I don't have what they have and therefore that union thing is stealing from me."

Right to work has destroyed the labor market wherever it goes, and no one notices.

seem like there are a lot of them. The resentment I see about the fact that I am in a union, some people act like I shot their dog.

It is so short sighted!

but I have to say unions in general have done a terrible job of public relations over the years............... stop ten people on the street and ask their opinion of unions. Most will have no or a bad opinion. That opinion is formed because we have been silent on why unions are good for working people. My 2 cents.

to be across the table from, so at times it feels like they are cooperating and the membership is an afterthought.

There is little union leadership ability, and yes, one of the most glaring deficiencies is in public relations, both to members and to the public at large.
