Vulgar University of Oregon police department list draws Internet sneers

A workplace list of more than 200 people and things disliked by a University of Oregon campus police lieutenant and his squad is making the rounds on the Internet, thanks in large part to the aggregation sites Gawker and Mediaite.

The list, created under the direction of UO Police Department Lt. Brandon Lebrecht under the vulgar name "Bowl of Dicks," includes more than 130 celebrities and about 25 local people, groups or landmarks that the officers felt should be humiliated or punished, a crude term for which is to "eat a bowl" of male genitals. The list also contains TV shows, sports teams, bands, products and types of people the officers find annoying, such as "people who can't merge."

The list includes a disproportionate number of African Americans and also has a homophobic tint, listing "Brokeback Mountain," RuPaul, Rosie O'Donnell and Perez Hilton.

The list came to light when former UO public safety officer James Cleavenger, a graduate of the UO law school, sued the university last fall, saying he was wrongfully fired for reporting problems in the department.
