Knucklehead MN GOP candidate: ‘Knocked up’ women don’t deserve dinner, dancing at their wedding

A female Republican candidate for a seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives is being criticized for outrageous statements about mothers-to-be she posted on her right-wing blog.

Sheila Kihne hopes to unseat state Rep. Jenifer Loon (R-Eden Prairie), who she claims is insufficiently conservative to represent the district. “People want a choice,” Kihne told Minnesota Public Radio. “I was at a point where I felt like I couldn’t vote for [Loon].”

On a blog she discontinued in 2009, she wrote that President Barack Obama was leading the one-world-order communists and demanded that single mothers be denied formal wedding ceremonies.

and there was incredible dinner, lively dancing, and abundant joy at both.

Meanwhile, in Bizarro World...

I'm sure there are many voters in that district who can't bring themselves to vote for a loon like Kihne.

Shouldn't they be put in the public stocks so folks can throw rotten vegetables at them?

(usually women and gay people) for having consensual adult sex? It's like they're stuck in the 1800's! Jesus, people do it and have been doing it since the very beginning of all humankind so get over it! It's none of your business anyway and always wanting to punish people for doing something that's completely normal and natural is just weird and creepy.

I bet she calls herself a "small government conservative republican" too, which is just hypocritical. How those types of conservatives get away with calling themselves that without anyone (usually) calling them out on it is beyond me. How can they say that when they constantly try to interfere with other people's personal, and perfectly legal, private lives? They're so interested in the sex lives of complete and total strangers that it starts to sound a little perverse and obsessive to me. People like her just need to mind their own damn business and stay out of other people's lives.

Happy people don't tend to worry how others live their lives. Contented people also don't tend to use religion as a crutch. Evangelicism in particular is full of people searching for an answer and a meaning for why their lives suck so bad. While they await their "eternal reward", their only joy on earth is out-Christaining others.

these people hate themselves, so they feel a need to make everyone else's lives miserable as well.

Now I'm starting to think its true. They are not unlike the closet-case (read: secretly gay) republican who constantly comes up with new laws to punish homosexuality and ban gay marriage in order to get back at all the happy, self confident, out-loud-and-proud gay people who are perfectly ok with who and what they are. People like that are just soul-sucking vampires. They try to make themselves feel better by making everyone else feel worse. I just can't be around anyone like that anymore, life's too short. I try to be nice and polite to everyone I meet, but after a few minutes, the snobby, holier than everyone, judgmental, "I'm better and smarter than everybody! Look at me! The world revolves around me and me alone! attitude starts to get to me. I know people like that in my RL and I'd rather jump out of my bedroom window (again) than deal with someone like that.

We should have a thread dedicated to the sheer craziness of the right wing. Each different type would have its own sub-thread. One for the gay-haters who are secretly gay themselves, one for the bible-thumping idiots who always scream "God did it!" when they don't understand something in their kid's school science book and one for the anti-anybody having any kind of consensual *adult* fun crowd with lots of pics of people belonging to the same crowd getting caught with drugs in one hand and a rent-boy in the other ('cause that's what usually happens).

women who are pregnant formal wedding ceremonies? Oh yeah, by enacting a law. The GOP - for the smallest government that will fit in your bedroom and birth canal that money can buy. Or, in other words - Oy! What a putz.

Single pregnant women shouldn't get married? Just slink away and hope nobody notices them? Abortion? None of these would seem to promote the kind of family values Republicans love to claim as their sole province. Or maybe she thinks the sluttyslutsluts should just kill themselves when the pee stick turns blue?
