Hateful Conservatives Flip Out After Los Angeles Mayor Offers Shelter to Refugee Children (Audio)
As the immigration crisis continues and some “compassionate” conservatives bar their cities from assisting displaced children, the mayor of Los Angeles is working to make sure those children will have a place to stay.
While the move has angered some, the mayor insists the funding for the housing will come from the federal government and not city coffers.
In an interview with NPR’s Arun Rath, LA mayor Eric Garcetti said he is working with the White House to try to make sure minors that have illegally crossed the border aren’t left out in the cold.
Some have attacked Garcetti for assisting illegal immigrants instead of dealing with local concerns, or of creating a long-term strain for the city.
